Ladies at the Men's Conference?!?

Our church hosts a Mens' Conference every year. This year the theme was discipleship.

On Saturday during the conference, the ladies got together for biscotti, coffee, tea and fellowship. Our Pastor's family generously opened their home to close to 40 women and their children.  When everyone was accounted for, the total was 100 people. It was a wonderful time to make new friends and reconnect with old friends.

My friend Sarah did a wonderful job making the biscotti.

Coffee or tea, anyone?

Mrs. Stacy McDonald spoke on discipleship as laid out in Titus 2.

She shared how we can effect people's lives for Christ through hospitality.

Cleaning in the kitchen

Thank you so much girls, for all your help with clean up.  :)

Afterwards, we all headed to church for more fellowship, good food, music, more coffee (most of us where running on it:), and lots of laughter.

Our Church's Men's choir headed up by Joel Stanton, has been practicing diligently for a performance on Saturday. All their hard work and effort paid off with a wonderful performance.

Nathan Clark George gave a free concert after the meal.

In the Loop

After we went to the art museum, we went to downtown St. Louis to an area called The Loop. It had a unique feel (melting potish/artsy) to it.  I enjoyed minute of it!

The details were amazing!

Isaiah ate his own ice cream...

...and my ice cream (I mean his)

Enjoying the Arts

I realized on the way home that I needed to change my camera settings. So the quality of these pictures isn't the greatest. I wanted to share our day anyway.

The Museum reminded me of Pemberley on the outside.

My 2nd favorite piece of art in the museum.
